What I like:
I love to help people. I enjoy entertaining guests at my house, or going out with
friends. I also enjoy giving gift to others and making others happy.
What I don't like:
Mean people, Double-faced personalities, Avidity, Double dealing, people who think
about themselves they are all that.
Something about Yelena:
I have been a vegetarian for last year and a half. I am thinking about cutting
fish out of my diet as well. I have been living in the USA for almost four years.
As I mentioned earlier I am still in High School and I will graduate in 2003.
I love America a lot, because this country is full of opportunities and advantages.
Here I can be whoever I want to be, and have whatever my eyes see. For these reasons
alone I love this country. I have a small family, consisting of my mother and
my sister. My sister is two years older than me.
My mother is a wonderful person and I thank her for all the things she has done
for me since I was a baby. She has raised me to have a kind heart, and always
first to help others. My sister is an honor student at Lakeland College. We all
work hard, which convinces me that one day all my dreams will come true.
A word about Elista:
I was born in Elista. I spent my childhood in pre-school at 1st mikrorayon. I
was a student of Elista
Classic Gymnasium, where I completed the 7th grade. Because I moved to the
USA I didn't graduate from the Elista Classic Gymnasium. I have many friends in
Kalmukia, whom I miss a lot. I remember all of my classmates and wish from all
my heart I get to see them again soon. I am constantly reading news about Kalmukiya
and trying to keep in touch with my relatives. Even if I am far away from my motherland,
Elista will always live in my heart.
